Local birding festivals in January 2012

Hundreds of birders visit the place every year. This festival is being held for the 16th year. This festival features cruises, boat rides, workshops and van trips throughout the county.
Bald Eagle Watching Days January 13-14, 2012
The bald eagle is the emblem of the United States of America. It symbolizes freedom, long life, and strength and lives on Loft Mountains. Some decades back it was very rare to see a bald eagle. But now people have a chance to see the bird. 25th annual eagle festival will be held in the cities of Prairie du Sac and Sauk City. There will be , live-bird shows, demonstrations, kids activities and wildlife photography.

Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival . January 25¬–30, 2012
The 15th Annual Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival is being held in Titusville, Florida. This festival is regarded as a ‘gateway to nature and space’. Last year, the visitors saw over 200 species in the year 2011 festival. The festival brings together artists, crafters, tour companies, photographers and wildlife organizations. It offers a wide range of activities related to bald eagle and other birds such as live-bird demonstrations, guided hikes to areas frequented by and visiting the nature-based informative booths.

The Merrimack River Eagle Festival – February 11, 2012
Mass Audubon at Joppa Flats and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge are organizing the seventh annual Merrimack River Eagle Festival on Saturday, February 11, 2012.
