Qatar Airways lauches more flights
The 5th every day flight between London Heathrow and Doha Qatar is to be launched by Qatar Airways starting March 25th 2012, the start of Northern Summer. The extra service takes from 28 flights to 35 flights every week. The decided flight times are going to become a really big help and it brings convenience to the connections on Doha hub to and from the route of the carriers on Asia Pacific network. Each day the QR075 flight leaves Doha at 6:35 and is going to land London Heathrow at a local time of 12:00. Then for the return flight, the QR076 flight is going to leave London Heathrow at 16:00 and is going to land Doha at 00:50 in local time the next day.
Flagship Boeing 777 of Qatar airways is a long haul aircraft which is going to be deployed on the new service. Its seat capacity is 42 for business class and 217 seats for the economy class. The business class features lie-flat beds that are really comfortable.
Akbar Al Baker, the executive chief officer of Qatar Airways said that the added capacity has become the reflection of how important London is to the international operations of the airline. This would also be great to meet the demand for the coming Olympics next summer, which is going to be held in the British Capital. Mr. Al baker also said “London has been one of the best performing routes and it was only a matter of time before we could look at the increasing frequency to meet the high demand, enabling our loyal customers and those travelling with us for the first time to take full advantage of the high levels of service we provide”. He then stated “With the global spotlight also turning in London for next Olympics, we are looking forward to facilitate the travel sports lovers to what promises to be a great spectacle. This improved capacity will provide greater connectivity for our passengers to and from Heathrow across key business and leisure destinations, including Bali, Bangkok, Islamabad, Delhi, Maldives, Melbourne, and launching summer of next year, Perth”.
